Why the plan uses retrieval and spacing

Retrieval practice can improve later retention, and distributed practice generally outperforms massed repetition. The useful spacing interval changes with the desired retention period, so this planner uses repeated checks and adjustment instead of claiming one magic interval.

Questions

How many new words should I learn each day?

There is no universal number. Start below the planner's ceiling, then lower or raise it according to delayed recall and available review time.

Does the planner save my choices?

No. It does not use local storage, cookies, an account or an upload. Closing or reloading the page clears the choices.

Is an 80% recall check a scientific guarantee?

No. It is a practical adjustment trigger, not a universal target or outcome guarantee. Lower the load whenever reviews feel unstable or too heavy.
