Hold the iPhone naturally — you don't need to hold it close to your mouth. Clear speech in a quiet environment gives the best transcription.
Tap Stop when done. Sono Note processes the audio on-device and produces a text transcript.
Read through the transcript and correct any errors. Proper nouns and technical terms may need manual correction.
Tap Share to copy the transcript as text, send via email, or save to Files. The audio file can also be shared separately.
Accuracy is highest for clear speech in quiet conditions. Accented speech, fast speech and background noise reduce accuracy. On-device transcription is somewhat less accurate than cloud-based AI services.
Sono Note transcribes audio as a single stream — it does not identify or label different speakers.
It works but accuracy drops significantly in noisy environments. A quiet room gives the best results.
