1What exactly is a project?
A project is a self-contained ledger: its own transactions, its own currency and its own bottom line. MoneyTag adds up the income, subtracts the expenses and shows the net result for that project alone.
2Does MoneyTag convert between currencies?
Each project has its own base currency. On the Home screen, choose the input currency directly. MoneyTag uses public exchange rates refreshed about every 6 hours, or you can set a manual rate and later reset to automatic. The converted amount is saved in the project’s base currency, and saved rates remain available offline. Reference rates are provided by Frankfurter or ExchangeRate-API; for informational use.
3How do tags work?
Tags are a first-class part of MoneyTag, not an afterthought. Tag any income or expense, and the Tags screen totals that same tag across all of your projects at once — income, expenses and the net for the tag. Cross-project tag analysis is part of Lifetime Pro.
4What is free, and what does Lifetime Pro add?

5I bought Lifetime Pro, but a new device shows it locked.
Open Settings in MoneyTag and tap Restore purchase while signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. MoneyTag has no account of its own — Apple keeps the record of the purchase, and restoring is free and unlimited.
6Where is my data stored? Is there a cloud backup?
Projects, transactions, amounts, notes, tags, categories and settings stay in MoneyTag’s on-device storage and are not sent to Frankfurter / ExchangeRate-API. With iCloud Sync on, one copy also lives in your own iCloud. When automatic rates are on, MoneyTag sends the three-letter base-currency code and the necessary network request to api.frankfurter.dev / open.er-api.com. Frankfurter / ExchangeRate-API’s Cloudflare infrastructure may process the IP address, approximate region, interaction data and diagnostics. This processing is for app functionality and analytics, may be linked to you, is not used for tracking, and involves no advertising. Turn off automatic rates and use a manual rate to avoid these requests. Reference rates are provided by Frankfurter or ExchangeRate-API; for informational use. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details; the app only learns from Apple whether the purchase exists, and records the unlock locally on your device. Restoring a purchase asks Apple, not us.
7What do the Apple Watch app and the widgets show?
The Watch app lets you add a transaction from your wrist and see the current project's income, expenses and net. The widgets show that same status on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. Projects, transactions, amounts, notes, tags, categories and settings stay in MoneyTag’s on-device storage and are not sent to Frankfurter / ExchangeRate-API. With iCloud Sync on, one copy also lives in your own iCloud.
