100 Notes Studio: Pen & Paper
One private, offline studio for everything you write by hand.

What it does
Most people end up with handwriting in one app, lecture PDFs in another, recordings in a third and revision cards in a fourth. 100 Notes Studio puts them in the same notebook: write with Apple Pencil, mark up an imported PDF, record while you write, search your own handwriting, and turn a page into flashcards without leaving the page you are on.
It runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server behind it.
Features
29 pens and brushes
Fountain pen, calligraphy, fude brush, technical pen, watercolour wash, charcoal and mechanical pencils, each with its own texture. Apple Pencil pressure, tilt, palm rejection, and double-tap and squeeze shortcuts are supported.
100 complete notebook styles
Not one template recoloured a hundred times. Each Studio Style has its own cover, paper structure, palette, dividers, stamps and stickers, toolbar accent and widget look.
PDF annotation
Import a PDF and highlight, underline, strike through, add text notes or handwrite straight over the page. Rotate, crop, insert, extract and merge pages, then export the result.
Audio that stays with the page
Start a recording while you write and it stays attached to the page you recorded it on. Transcription is optional and runs on the device.
Search your own handwriting
On-device handwriting and PDF text recognition makes titles, typed text, handwriting and attachments searchable. Nothing is uploaded to do it.
Study mode
Turn parts of a page into linked flashcards and cloze cards, then revise them on an FSRS spaced repetition schedule.
Organised for real notebooks
Nested folders, tags, pins, favourites, an archive, a recoverable trash, an auto-numbered table of contents, and ink layers you can hide or lock.
Beyond the app
A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget, Siri and Shortcuts quick capture, a share extension, and an Apple Watch app for voice, text and checklist notes.
Locked when you want it
Lock the whole studio or an individual notebook with Face ID or Touch ID. Authentication happens locally on the device.
Free tier and the unlock
The free version opens the whole editor: every pen, PDF annotation, audio recording, handwriting search and the study mode. It gives you five notebooks with an unlimited number of pages inside them, and 12 of the 100 Studio Styles.
A single non-consumable in-app purchase then adds unlimited notebooks, all 100 Studio Styles, vector ink PDF export, page version history you can restore, and encrypted backup. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Privacy in one paragraph
No account is required. We do not collect personal data. We do not use third party advertising. We do not use third party analytics. Data entered in the app stays on the user's device unless the app clearly provides an export or sharing feature initiated by the user. The full policy is on the privacy page.
