Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This policy explains how 100 Notes Studio handles information. It is short because the app is built to work entirely on your device.
No account is required
No account is required. The app has no sign-up, no login and no user profile. You can install it and start writing immediately. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifier.
No personal data is collected
We do not collect personal data. The app does not read your contacts, location, calendars or health information, and it does not build any profile of you. Nothing you write is transmitted to us, because the app makes no network calls of its own.
No third-party advertising and no third-party analytics
We do not use third party advertising. We do not use third party analytics. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no attribution service and no tracking identifiers. Nothing is shared with data brokers or advertising networks.
Your notes stay on the device
Data entered in the app stays on the user's device unless the app clearly provides an export or sharing feature initiated by the user. Notebooks, pages, ink, typed text, imported PDFs, images, audio recordings, recognised text and backups are stored only on your iPad, iPhone or Apple Watch. There is no account and no cloud service of our own, so this content is never uploaded to us.
Deleting the app removes this content from the device. Files you have already exported or shared elsewhere are outside the app and are not affected.
Permissions the app may ask for
Camera
Used only by the in-app document scanner, when you choose to scan a page into a notebook. The scan is saved to that page on the device and is not sent anywhere.
Microphone
Used only when you start a recording inside a page, or record a voice note on the Apple Watch app. The recording is stored on the device, attached to the page it was made on.
Speech recognition
Optional. If you ask for a recording to be transcribed, recognition runs on the device, so the audio is not sent to a server for transcription.
Photo library
Used only when you pick an image to place on a page or open in the reference workspace. The app reads the image you select and does not scan or index your library.
Face ID and Touch ID
Optional, used to lock the app or an individual notebook. Authentication is handled locally by iOS. We never receive your biometric data, and the device passcode is the fallback when biometrics are unavailable.
Handwriting and text recognition
Handwriting search and PDF text recognition use Apple's on-device frameworks. Your pages are processed locally so that they can be searched. There is no external service, no third-party AI provider, and your content is never used to train any model.
Purchases
The app offers one non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the full studio. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. To confirm what you own, the app asks Apple whether the purchase exists for your Apple Account; that exchange is between your device and Apple.
Exporting and sharing
Exporting a page or notebook, or sharing one, is always something you start. When you do, iOS shows its standard share sheet and the destination is whichever app or service you pick. Once content leaves the app it is handled by that destination under its own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are scheduled on the device for reminders you have set. They are not used for marketing and they do not carry your note content to any server.
Children
The app is a general-purpose notebook, not a children's app, and it is not listed in the Kids category. It does not collect names, birthdays, health information or any other personal detail from anyone, including children.
Access, deletion and questions
Because we hold no copy of your content, there is nothing for us to look up, export or delete on your behalf. You can delete any notebook, page or recording inside the app, and removing the app deletes the rest. If you have a question about this policy, email hourstag.app@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If the app gains a feature that changes how information is handled, this page is updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top changes with it. The current version is always the one published here.
