Purchases and the free tier

What can I use for free?

The calculator itself, one built-in theme, and the calculation history. Each of the eight advanced tools also gives you three free successful results, so you can try every tool before deciding.

What does the unlock include?

A single non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks all 99 remaining themes and removes the three-result limit on every advanced tool. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and there is nothing further to renew.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in to the same Apple Account you used for the purchase, open CalDaily, go to Settings inside the app and choose Restore Purchases. The unlock is tied to your Apple Account, so it comes back without paying again.

I paid, but the unlock has not appeared.

First check that the device is online, since Apple needs a connection to confirm the purchase. Then confirm you are signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase, and run Restore Purchases in the app. If it still does not appear, close and reopen the app, then restart the device. If nothing works, email us with the date of purchase and the Apple receipt, and we will look into it. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Widget

How do I add the Home Screen widget?

Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap the add button in the corner, search for CalDaily, pick the widget size you want and tap Add Widget. Then tap Done. Open the app at least once before adding the widget so it appears in the list.

Does the widget match my theme?

Yes. The widget follows the theme you have chosen in the app, and it calculates without opening the app.

History, subjects and export

What are subjects and types?

Every entry in history can be given a free-text subject, such as the name of a trip or a bill, and a type that describes what kind of calculation it was. Both are there so you can recognise an entry later instead of reading a bare number.

How do I find an old calculation?

Search history by text to match what you typed into the subject, browse entries grouped by day, or filter by the tool that produced them. The three can be combined to narrow a long list quickly.

How do I export to CSV?

Choose the export option in history. CalDaily creates a CSV file on the device and hands it to the system share sheet, so you decide where it goes — Files, Mail, a note, or any app you pick. Nothing is uploaded by the app itself.

Languages and defaults

How do I change the language?

CalDaily is fully localized in 50 languages and follows your iPhone language automatically. To set a different language just for this app, open the Settings app, scroll to CalDaily, tap Language and choose the one you want.

How do tool defaults work?

Each of the eight advanced tools opens with defaults you set once — for example a usual tax rate, tip percentage, party size, preferred units or fuel price. Change them in the tool's own settings and the tool will start with those values from then on.

Troubleshooting

  • The app feels slow or a screen looks wrong. Close CalDaily fully from the app switcher and reopen it. If it persists, restart the device.
  • The widget shows stale content. Remove the widget, open the app once, then add the widget again.
  • A tool says the free results are used up. That is the three-result trial limit. Unlocking removes it for every tool at once.
  • Restore Purchases does nothing. Check the Apple Account signed in under Settings, and that the device has a working connection.
  • Text is clipped in another language. Tell us which language and which screen; layout fixes are quick once we can see it.
