About this guide
iOS App Guide is an independent resource that helps people choose pay-once iPhone apps — apps you buy a single time, with no subscription — and answers the practical questions people actually search for.
What we do
We publish plain-language buying guides, how-to answers and honest comparisons for everyday iPhone tasks: passport and ID photos, document scanning, resumes, photo cleanup, budgeting, focus, kids' learning and more. Each page aims to answer one real question clearly, then point to apps that fit — including one-time-purchase options and well-known alternatives.
Who publishes it (transparency)
This guide is published by the small independent team behind Lumi Studio, a set of pay-once iOS apps (such as Snapport, ScanTo Pro, CV Desk, PicClear, Unblurry, the Lumi kids-learning series and others). We list our own apps and third-party apps side by side so the comparisons are useful. Where we mention our own app, we describe it honestly against real alternatives — we would rather you pick the right tool than the wrong one.
Editorial methodology
- Verified facts. Specifications such as passport-photo sizes, document formats and resume conventions are checked against official or reputable sources, and we tell you to confirm current official requirements before you rely on them.
- No paid placement. No company can pay to be listed, recommended or ranked here.
- Honest framing. We avoid hype, fabricated ratings and guarantees. Prices and features change, so we ask readers to check the current App Store listing.
- Trademarks. App names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only for identification and comparison.
How we make money
We do not run ads on this site and we do not use paid or affiliate tracking to earn commissions from other companies' apps. If you buy one of our own pay-once apps on the App Store, that supports our work — a single purchase, never a subscription.
Corrections & contact
Requirements and prices change. If you spot something out of date or incorrect, we want to fix it — please check the official source for your country or the current App Store listing, which always takes precedence over anything written here.
