Data processing and storage

Imported screenshots, photos, PDFs, files, pasted text, notes, links, extracted text, facts, privacy choices, generated briefs, templates, and version history are processed and stored locally on your device. AI Brief does not operate a developer server for this content and does not use it to train models.

Apple frameworks and on-device intelligence

OCR, PDF reading, duplicate detection, language identification, fact extraction, privacy detection, Vision analysis, and supported Foundation Models processing use Apple system frameworks on device. When Apple on-device intelligence is unavailable, AI Brief uses a deterministic local fallback. No third-party AI provider receives your content.

Photos, camera, files, and shared items

AI Brief accesses photos, the camera, files, clipboard text, or shared content only after you choose the related import action. The Share Extension places selected items in the app's private App Group container until AI Brief imports them. Temporary files can be cleared in Settings.

Face ID and device authentication

If you enable app locking, authentication is performed by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. AI Brief receives only whether authentication succeeded. It never receives, stores, transmits, or shares Face ID data or facial templates.

Purchases

The optional AI Brief Pro lifetime unlock is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple StoreKit. AI Brief does not receive payment-card details. Apple keeps purchase history so the unlock can be restored with the same Apple Account.

Export and sharing

Nothing is shared automatically. When you copy, export, or use the system Share Sheet, you choose the destination. Data sent to another app or service is then governed by that recipient's privacy practices. Always review the final brief before sharing it.

Advertising, analytics, and tracking

AI Brief has no third-party advertising, tracking, analytics, social-network SDK, or content telemetry. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and deletion

Local content remains until you delete individual briefs, use Delete Everything, or remove the app. Deleting the app removes local app data according to iOS behaviour. Apple may retain purchase history independently.
