Privacy Policy

Sono Note is designed to be local-first and privacy-first. By default, the app collects no personal data, uses no third-party analytics, includes no ads, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Data stored locally

Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, action items, follow-up email drafts, templates, and app settings are stored on your device. Sono Note has no servers and does not upload this content anywhere.

You can delete notes, recordings, transcripts, and generated content inside the app. Settings → All recordings lets you play, share, or delete any recording, and Settings → Export backup creates a single file that you choose where to save. You may also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS behavior and any device backups you control.

Microphone access

Sono Note asks for microphone permission so you can record voice notes. Audio is used to create transcripts and note content inside the app.

Speech recognition

Sono Note uses Apple Speech recognition where available, with on-device recognition preferred when supported by the language and device. For some languages, devices, or recognition modes, Apple may use network-based speech recognition. iOS will request the required speech recognition permission, and Apple's handling of speech recognition is governed by Apple's policies and system prompts.

Everything stays on your device

Sono Note has no backend and no cloud processing. Transcription, cleanup, summaries, action items, and follow-up email drafts are all generated on your device. Your recordings, transcripts, and notes are never sent to us or to any third party. Automatically generated content should be reviewed before use.

No ads, tracking, or third-party analytics

Sono Note does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Purchases

Sono Note may offer Pro subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Children's privacy

Sono Note is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on this page.
