Frequently asked questions

How does blocking work?

You choose apps, categories, or websites to block. During a focus session — or a schedule you set — those apps are shielded by Apple’s Screen Time system. When the session ends, they unlock automatically.

Does it read my messages or browsing?

No. LockHour Pro never reads your messages, browsing, video, or app content. It only shields the apps you choose, and only during sessions you start.

Can I bypass a session?

LockHour Pro adds friction to help you stay intentional — it is not an unbreakable lock and does not claim to be. Hard Mode adds a short cooldown and a typed confirmation before you can stop early.

Is there a subscription?

No. LockHour Pro is a one‑time purchase — pay once, no subscription, no ads, no tracking.

I bought it on another device.

Tap Settings → Restore purchase (or the Restore button on the unlock screen) while signed in with the same Apple ID.

Why aren’t my apps blocking on the Simulator?

The iOS Simulator can’t grant Screen Time authorization, so the app runs in a preview mode there. Real blocking requires a real device.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Reset all data erases your sessions, stats, and settings from the device. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
