1. Data Not Collected
Snapport does not collect personal data. There is no account, no ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics, no cloud photo processing, and no server-side user profile.
2. Photos and face data stay on your device
Your photos are processed locally on your iPhone and are never uploaded to us. To help you line up a compliant photo, Snapport uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect where a face is in the photo you choose — the face's bounding box and the approximate position of the eyes and chin — plus on-device person segmentation to optionally replace the background. This face geometry is used only to draw alignment guides, auto-center, crop, and (if you choose) change the background. It is computed transiently in memory; it is never used for face recognition or identity verification, never used to build a faceprint or biometric profile, never written to disk or stored by us, and never transmitted off your device or shared with us or any third party. It is discarded as soon as your photo is aligned or you leave the screen — none of it is retained. Background adjustments use Core Image and PDF export uses PDFKit. The only output saved is the final photo you choose to export, which stays on your device under your control.
3. Optional template update check
The only optional network use is when you choose Check for Template Updates. The app downloads a public JSON list of common photo sizes and sends no personal data. You can use Snapport fully offline without checking for updates.
4. Local app data
Snapport may store preferences, custom sizes, recent template choices, and generated files locally on your device so the app works smoothly. This local data is not sent to us.
5. Purchases
Snapport is a paid upfront app (US$4.99) with no subscription and no in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
6. No government affiliation or acceptance guarantee
Photo requirements vary by country, agency, and application type. Snapport provides common templates and guides — it does not guarantee acceptance and is not affiliated with any government. Always review the official requirements before submitting.
7. Children’s privacy
Snapport does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
