Frequently asked questions
How do I turn my checklist into a daily planner instead of one long list?
Mochi is built around a simple checklist you tap to complete, and the same list doubles as a daily planner and agenda. Keep one list per part of your day — school, work, errands, groceries — and use reminders so items surface at the right time instead of sitting in a single long list you have to re-read.
Can I see my to-do list without opening the app?
Yes. Mochi includes Home Screen widgets, so your important tasks stay visible on the Home Screen, and you can check your list from Apple Watch. Add the widget by touching and holding an empty part of the Home Screen, tapping Edit → Add Widget, then searching for Mochi and choosing a size.
My reminders aren't showing up
Reminders are delivered as iOS notifications, so iOS has to allow them: Settings → Notifications → Mochi → Allow Notifications. If they still don't appear, check Settings → Focus in case a Focus mode or Scheduled Summary is holding them, and make sure Do Not Disturb is off.
How do I track a habit or a routine rather than a one-off task?
Mochi supports habit and routine tracking alongside ordinary tasks, so a recurring item can live permanently on your list instead of disappearing when you tick it. Keep routines in their own list and use reminders to bring them back each day.
Can I change how the checklist looks?
Yes. Mochi ships with 100 skins you can apply to your checklist, so you can change the look without changing your data. Switching a skin only affects appearance — your tasks, reminders and lists stay exactly as they are.
I'm not getting notifications
Open Settings → Notifications, select the app, and turn Allow Notifications on. Also check that Focus modes or Scheduled Summary are not holding them back (Settings → Focus), and that Do Not Disturb is off.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap Edit → Add Widget (or the + button), search for the app by name, choose a size, then tap Add Widget. Widgets refresh on a schedule decided by iOS, not by the app.
How do I delete the app and everything it stored?
Touch and hold the app icon → Remove App → Delete App. Deleting an iOS app removes its sandbox — the documents and settings it kept on the device go with it, so export anything you want to keep first. What the app stores and where is described in our privacy policy.
How do I make sure I'm on the latest version?
Open the App Store, tap your profile picture, and pull down to refresh the pending-updates list. If the app appears there, tap Update. Turning on Settings → App Store → App Updates keeps it automatic.
Which devices and iOS version does Mochi need?
See the App Store product page — the Information section there is always the authoritative, up-to-date answer for compatibility, size and languages.
Troubleshooting
The app won't open, or closes straight away
Force quit it first: swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause, then swipe the app's card away. Reopen it. If it still closes, restart the device — that clears the majority of one-off launch failures.
It feels slow, or freezes on a big job
Check free storage in Settings → General → iPhone Storage. iOS gets unpredictable below roughly 1 GB free, and anything that writes files (exports, scans, image processing) is the first thing to suffer. Also close other apps that are working in the background.
Something looks broken after an update
Update iOS itself (Settings → General → Software Update), then update the app. A mismatch between an old iOS and a new build is a common cause of layout or feature glitches.
Last resort: reinstall
Export anything you want to keep, delete the app, then reinstall it from the App Store's Purchased list. Paid unlocks belong to your Apple Account and survive a reinstall; data stored only on the device does not.

Still stuck? Email us
Write to hourstag.app@gmail.com. To get a useful answer on the first reply, include: your device model (Settings → General → About), your iOS version, the app version, and what you tapped right before the problem appeared. Screenshots or a screen recording help a lot.
